Communications

The Communications team within the Grants & Communications Department leads districtwide messaging, engagement, and storytelling across all platforms.

The team supports middle and high schools, departments, and district leadership with internal and external communications, ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent information for students, families, staff, and the community.

Key areas of support include media relations, community engagement, crisis communications, employee communications, event coordination, parent communication, and website and digital content management. The team also provides guidance and training to staff on best practices for working with news media, managing social media, and maintaining school and department websites.

District news and stories are shared across multiple platforms, including the district newsletter, website, and video content on YouTube, showcasing programs, initiatives, and individuals throughout the district.

Through strategic communications and creative content development, the team showcases the achievements, experiences, and voices of the Sweetwater community.
